Biography

Lucie Ménard

Lucie Ménard has painted all her life. As a teenager, her mother gave her a beautiful wooden box of pastels — a gift that would shape her technique for years to come.

After a decade as an international banker in New York City, she settled in St. Augustine, Florida, and later in Altea, on the Spanish Mediterranean coast. That journey across countries and cultures still runs through her work today.

She paints in mixed media — oil, acrylic and pastel on canvas, as well as pastel on paper — moving between figuration and abstraction.

Her paintings are held in private collections in Argentina, Canada, England, France, Italy, Japan, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the United States. Seeing her work live among so many different cultures is a source of deep joy for her.

Alongside painting, Lucie tutors English and French, which lets her indulge her other great passion: languages.
